Acting for four decades, Keanu Reeves has long been a family name, but it seems his star has become brighter in the last few years. Whether it’s a recent role, such as starring in a tongue-in-cheek version of Always Be My Mabe or a vengeance-seeking John Wick, or the fact that he’s one of the few troublesome celebrities he’s left behind, he’s got a team of fans. . The mysterious actor chooses to stay out of the public eye, although the directors have described him as incredibly hardworking, which is no doubt on-screen.

The Canadian actor was born in Beirut, Lebanon to a native Hawaiian and Chinese father and Chinese mother. He grew up around the world, living in New York City and Sydney, Australia, before his family settled in Toronto. He started acting at the age of nine and chose it as his profession at the age of only 15. Earlier, he was seriously considering a career as a professional hockey player aspiring to play for the Canadian Olympic team. Since starring in a Canadian short in 1985 and a few films made for TV in 1986, Reeves has acted in more than 70 films. Among the huge number of roles, these are the 21 best Keanu Reeves films.

Updated by Jessica Gardner, January 2022: If you’re a Keanu Reeves fan, you’ll be happy to read this updated article outlining 18 of the best Keanu Reeves movies.

Dangerous Liaisons

Dangerous Liaisons

Directed by Stephen Freyers, Dangerous Liaison is a period drama based on an adaptation of the 1782 French novel Les Liaison Dangerous. It features a star-studded cast, including Michelle Pfeiffer, Glenn Klose, John Malkovich, Uma Thurman and more. The 1988 film undoubtedly helped to advance the career of a young Keanu Reeves. The film won the 61st Academy Awards for Best Costume Design, Best Production Design and Best Adaptive Screenplay. Dangerous Liaison served as inspiration for the 1999 teen drama Cruel Intention.

Man of Tai Chi

Debuted by Kianu Reeves, 2013 Martial Arts Action Man of Tai Chi. The film sees Tiger Hu Chen’s young tai chi expert ‘Tiger’ Chen Lin Hook draw in a mysterious underground battle ring of the evil Donaka Mark of Reeves. As much as Reeves has proven himself as a genius behind the camera, he has been at the forefront, bringing his own considerable experience to the action genre to capture some long, complex, and finely choreographed combat scenes.

19
Always Be My Maybe

Always Be My Maybe
Always Be My Maybe

Always Be My Maybe is a Netflix-produced romantic comedy starring stand-up comedian Ali Wang as a childhood friend opposite Randall Park who reunited years later. A recurring theme in the film is how Park’s character is less successful than Wong’s character, who is never more clear than having dinner with Keanu Reeves, acting in an Uber-cool, over-the-top, fictional version of himself. It serves as the perfect foil to make the character of the park feel insecure and inadequate, just like anyone would.

18
Under the Influence

Under the Influence is a television movie made in 1986, an early project by Keanu Reeves and co-starring Andy Griffith. In the case of TV movies, the CBS movie is the equivalent of a course. A melodrama centered around a father (Griffith) drinking and how it affects his family. Her son (Reeves) finally follows in her footsteps. Flick is almost impossible to find, only available on DVD and with copies out of stock from most vendors.

17
Bill & Ted Face the Music

Bill & Ted Face the Music Hall is the third installment of the Bill & Ted film franchise, released in 2020, almost twenty years after the first sequel. Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves play Bill and Ted again in their roles and are tasked with writing a song to save the world. The movie also stars Rapper Kid Cody, Glee star Jaima Mess and Beck Bennett on Saturday Night Live. The film received a generally positive critical reception for a modern comedy that went into video-on-demand and theatrical releases simultaneously.

16
River’s Edge

River's Edge
River’s Edge

Another film in the early stages of Keanu Reeves’ impressive career is the incredibly dark crime drama Reverse Age. In the film, Reeves plays Matt, an elderly teenager who is caught up in an increasingly boring murder scene. With lots of juvenile drugs, sex and violence, the film, which also stars Crispin Glover, Ion Sky and the late Dennis Hopper, paints an extremely dark picture of an American teenager. That said, it’s a great vehicle for Reeves’ acting skills.

15
Much Ado About Nothing

Shakespeare film adaptations can be extremely polarizing – viewers either love them or hate them. For Bird fans, however, the 1993 match ad about nothing was a smash hit. In the poetic romantic comedy, Reeves plays Don John, Don Pedro’s wicked honest brother, Prince of Aragon, Denzel Washington. The movie is directed by Kenneth Branagh with Emma Thompson, Michael Keaton and a young Kate Beckinsdale.

14
Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure

A science-fiction comedy, unlike any other project, was a part of Keanu Reeves. At the heart of Bill and Ted’s Excellent adventure is the story of a time traveler from hundreds of years who was assigned in 1988 to help two high school students pass a history course. Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves played Bill and Ted, respectively, and comedy legend George Carlin in the 1989 movie. A huge box office success, the movie grossed $ 40.5 million on a 10 million budget.

13
The Gift

By radiating generosity and sensitivity, Reeves often does not play the role of a bad guy. In Sam Rymy’s watery supernatural thriller The Gift, he plays a racist, violent Hilbilly, a truck-driver, against the foil of abusing the wife of a local mental patient, Cate Blanchett, who urges his wife (Hillary Swank) to throw his abusive ass. Reeves is effective in the role, using his muscular frame and deep voice to bring shocking danger to the one-note villain. (The script, co-written by Billy Bob Thornton and inspired by his mother’s fate, ranging from restrained ghost stories to static courtroom dramas to horror-tinged freakouts.) Gift now seems to be a shattered radio signal from the lost world of the genre-mixing mid-budget studio movie, where a star like Reeves was probably less focused on the financial needs of the mega-franchise.

12
Something’s Gotta Give

A Nancy Meyer rom-com starring Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson, this role was a distraction from the usual casting of Keanu Reeves. In Something’s Whole Give, Nicholson’s character has a heart attack while on vacation in Hampton with his notable-younger girlfriend and his mother (Keaton). Her doctor (Reeves) instructs her to stay in the area for a few more days to observe, this time sparks fly with Keaton’s character, which is suitable for older age, however, she falls to the doctor. Reeves excels as he becomes entangled in the complex web of doctor relationships.

11
Street Kings

Directed by David Eyre of the Suicide Squad, Street Kings Reeves plays a detective after the death of his wife who questions the loyalty of his friends when he is accused of killing a colleague.

The storytelling in Street Kings was a bit of a source of interest to some critics, but it was interesting to see Reeves in the role of a morally dubious anti-hero.

10
Constantine

Based on the DC Comics Helleblazer comic book, Constantine tells the story of a monster expert who can communicate with angels and monsters in their original form. Condemning hell from a previous failed suicide attempt, Constantine seeks to gain good grace to go to heaven. For example, Constantine teamed up with detective Angela Dobson to investigate her sister’s apparent suicide. Angela is convinced that supernatural forces were responsible for her sister’s death. During the investigation, Constantine became involved in a supernatural conspiracy involving both angelic and demonic forces. Kiyunu says he enjoyed playing the character of Constantine and would like to play the character again.

9
Bram Stoker’s Dracula

Bram Stoker‘s Dracula Francis Ford Coppola remake is arguably one of the best vampire movies in existence. While Reeves’ performance leaves much to be desired, Jonathan Harkin‘s flat avatar certainly provides some balance to the film’s foreign events. Reeves recently described that he and co-star Winona Ryder were actually married on the Dracula set, as their actual Romanian priests conducted the wedding scene.

8
A Scanner Darkly

A Scanner Darkly
A Scanner Darkly

Richard Linklater is a director who is known for taking risks with his films, for example choosing to shoot boyhood films for several years with the same actors, in terms of a documentary on scripted coming-era films. For the scanner Darkley, Philip K. of the same name. Linkletter, a science fiction film adapted from Dick’s novel, used the animation technique of rotoscoping, where real actors are portrayed, and then the animators trace the footage frame-by-frame. Imagination is a dream-like quality. Reeves plays a police officer in a film about a world where a large portion of the population is addicted to a mysterious hallucinogenic drug.

7
Parenthood

An integrated comedy, directed by Parenthood Ron Howard and featuring big names like Steve Martin, Mary Steinbergen and Diane West, Reeves has a small supporting role. The movie was a huge box office success, grossing $ 126 million on a 20 million budget. It was later converted into a TV series twice. After the first failed run in 1990, it rebooted again 20 years later. The 2010 edition of Parenthood, starring established television names like Peter Krauss, Dax Shepard and Lauren Graham, runs for six seasons.

6
The Devil’s Advocate

Based on the novel of the same name by Andrew Neiderman, The Devil’s Advocate is a 1997 supernatural horror film starring Keanu Reeves, Charlize Theron and Al Pacino. Reeves plays young hotshot attorney Kevin Lomax, who has never lost a lawsuit. When Kevin realizes (too late) that his client is guilty, he manipulates the situation to maintain his scorecard, ensuring a non-guilty vote. Kevin soon realizes that the consequences of his actions can be overwhelming.

5
Point Break

In the 1991 action-thriller film Point Break, Reeves plays an FBI agent, Johnny Utah, who goes undercover to catch a gang of bank robbers. Based on a hump from his co-workers, the robbers also determine if he is a surfer, Utah learns how to surf, and works his way into the surfing community to catch criminals. Directed by Katherine Bigelow (The Heart Locker), the movie also stars the late Patrick Suez and Gary Busy. Point Break was such a cult hit that it inspired a potential sequel to the 2015 remake and titled Point Break 2.

4
John Wick

John Wick
John Wick

Keanu Reeves played the title role in John Wick, which was so successful that it encouraged 5 sequels, John Wick 2, John Wick 3, John Wick 4 and the yet to be released John Wick 5. The whole film revolves around Trilogy Week’s bloodthirsty vengeance. From the moment three Russian gangsters killed his favorite dog, which was a gift from his late wife before he died. What if the death of a sweet beagle named Daisy doesn’t make sense enough to send any man into a blind, murderous rage?

3
My Own Private Idaho

In another difficult role, Reeves plays Scott Favre, a fellow sex worker and friend of Mickey Waters in River Phoenix. In the heartbreaking, Gritty indie film My Own Private Idaho that deals with the heavy themes of poverty, mental illness and closed homosexuality, Mikey confesses his love for Scott, who then scolds her, falls in love with a woman. At the end of the Goose Van Sant film, the boys eventually fall apart, Scott falls into money and opportunity, and Mickey probably goes into a worse situation than before.

2
Speed

Another film on the list with an unusual premise, Speed is about a bus equipped with a bomb that would explode if the car was moving at 50 miles per hour. Keanu Reeves plays a talented LAPD officer who receives a phone call from a terrorist, warning him about the state of the public bus. He gets in the car, and the thrilling action begins, with the 116-minute movie mostly happening on the bus. The film also stars Sandra Bullock and Dennis Hopper.

1
The Matrix

The Matrix
The Matrix

While The Matrix may not be Keanu Reeves‘ most impressive acting role, it doesn’t show the range of Point Break or My Own Private Idaho, it may be his most iconic. One of the most successful film franchises of all time and one of the pop culture and internet memes. Reeves stars nickname Neo as a hacker who uncovers the truth about the occupation of humanity by artificially intelligent robots. Wearing short sunglasses and a floor-length leather chandelier, it is without a doubt the most recognizable part of Reeves. The movie has produced several sequels, including The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, and most recently The Matrix Resurrection.

Robert Pattinson may become an unlikely heartthrob and superstar after Twilight, but his career is full of extraordinary performances.

Robert Douglas Thomas Pattinson was born on May 13, 1986, and grew up in Barnes, south-west London, with two older sisters. Before he began his acting career, Pattinson first discovered his love of music and began learning piano and guitar at the age of four. As a teenager, he performed his original songs for open mics in bars and pubs. However, Pattinson was still very shy, so his father encouraged him to join the local community theater. After working backstage for two years, she auditioned for her first performance on Guys and Dolls, and for some reason she was actually cast as a Cuban dancer. In his next play, Hour Town, Pattinson played the lead role and was picked up by a talent agent who took part in one of his performances.

Ten years ago, no one would believe – out of all the Hollywood franchises – the blockbuster movie series that would give birth to the most compelling actor, “The Twilight Saga”. We all know about Kristen Stewart‘s extraordinary arthouse endeavors, but Edward is committed to diving deeper into Bella’s character and working with visionary directors. Robert Pattinson confuses young female soldiers, but the roles he has chosen since the end of the Stephanie Meyer franchise were as colorful as his romantic vampire pale.

Pattinson has become interested in working with a great director (Robert Eggers, Claire Dennis, Saffy Brothers, Christopher Nolan and many more). He was even selected as the next Batman in Matt Reeve’s The Batman Update, which became the most anticipated film of the year. Here are his best films so far.

10
Remember Me

Robert Pattinson 10 Best Performed Movies, Ranked!

In Remember Me, the troubled and rebellious Tyler (Robert Pattinson) has an exciting relationship with his father (Pierce Brosnan). Still suffering from the loss of her brother Michael, who committed suicide years ago, Tyler thinks no one will understand her pain. Until he meets Ally (Emily de Ravin), meaning that her mother is being harmed by a robbery. Tyler and Ally fall in love and she begins to find happiness again, though revealing secrets that could threaten their relationship. Pattinson does the angry-young-man thing better than most and is really sad in this small but good picture.

9
High Life

High Life is the first English-language film by renowned French writer-director Claire Dennis, and follows a group of death row inmates on a mission to extract alternative energy from a black hole in space. Before the suicide attempt, the insane Doctor Dibbs leads the crew to kill her child and husband, while Monte (Robert Pattinson) is convicted of killing a friend who killed her dog as a child. It is a deeply disturbing and depressing film, with tragic scenes of rape, murder and suicide, but director Dennis somehow finds a depressing humanity in the film and in Pattinson’s Stoke performance.

8
The Lost City of Z

Robert Pattinson 10 Best Performed Movies, Ranked!

The Lost City of Jade is based on a 2009 book by David Gran and written and directed by the great James Gray (Ad Astra, The Immigrant). This 2016 American biographical drama follows the real-life adventures of British explorer Percy Fawcett, who tries to find the lost city of the legendary title on the Amazon. Robert Pattinson plays his fellow explorer Henry Costin and is almost unknown in his role because of his bearded look and inspired personality, a reformed alcoholic character who is truly passionate and excited about having something to look forward to.

7
Water for Elephants

Water for Elephants tells the story of Jacob Jankowski (Robert Pattinson), a 23-year-old veterinary medicine student, based on a New York Times # 1 best-selling novel by author Sara Gruen. In the Great Depression, Jacob jumps into a passing circus train as Banks ignores his family home, where he meets Camel, an employee of the Benzini Brothers who introduces Jacob to Ringmaster August. Soon, Jacob takes care of the circus animals and falls in love with Marilyn (Ringmaster’s wife), the charming character of Reese Witherspoon. As Jacob continues to work for August, he learns about man’s violent temperament and nature towards animals, prompting Pattinson to perform some serious sympathetic and powerful acts.

6
The Lighthouse

Robert Pattinson 10 Best Performed Movies, Ranked!

This 2019 horror / drama is the new Robert Pattinson movie on this list. Lighthouse follows lighthouse keepers Ephraim Winslow and Thomas Wake (played by Robert Pattinson and Willem Daffy, who were originally the only actors in the film), trying to maintain their conscience while living on a mysterious and desolate New England island in the 1890s. Will they work together or will they destroy each other? The film manages to entertain as well as inform. Also, Robert Eger’s films have been critically acclaimed, with Rotten Tomatoes gaining a 90% rating and a 72% audience score.

5
Cosmopolis

Pattinson has made a number of risky bets on talented filmmakers in recent years, but the trend comes from David Cronenberg’s Wackedudal Anti-Capitalist Odyssey, where the actor is seen as a glamorous and greedy performer. Dirty bags that mumble lines like, “My prostate is asymmetrical.” Riding a limo around New York City in almost every scene as rich executive Eric Packer, Pattinson boldly plunges his stardom into the director’s curved anti-establishment trend. Cronenberg’s adaptation of Don Delillo’s 2003 novel is a barbaric and irrational takedown of American prosperity that already seems to be ahead of its time, but its curious appeal owes much to Pattinson’s promise. Where “Cosmopolis” takes some weird symbolic turns, when a limo wanders the streets of a protest-riddled city and arrives at a terrifying apartment showdown, Pattinson plays the whole thing live. He is the movie’s ultimate medium for convincing viewers that this kind of ridiculous character really exists in the real world. And looking back at “Cosmopolis” from Trump’s Vantage Point in America, Eric Packer may be Pattinson’s most insightful performance to date.

4
The King

Robert Pattinson 10 Best Performed Movies, Ranked!

Sporting tall, flowing locks and a French accent that is either ridiculous or brilliant (or both), Pattinson is portrayed as the Daphne of France in the last third of this re-enactment of the rise to power of the young Henry V. One would speculate that Pattinson played the small role as a favor to David Michod, director of “The Rover,” but it was really a gift to the audience; An injection of pure fun. And you could say that the actor is making an explosion, insulting Prince Halle of Timothy Chalamet with insults about his genitals which is a jab in the primary school yard, yet more effective in a French accent. “In a way that I fully support and love 100%, that character is a Robert Pattinson creation,” Michod told Variety. “The biggest fear has always been that you’ll end up with ‘Monty Python and Holy Grail’ and ridiculous French accents. But at the same time, I kind of needed his character to be irrational.”

3
The Rover

Rover Hall is a heartbreaking Australian dystopian drama featuring Western genres. In the future, drifter Eric (Guy Pierce) wanders the land, but the thieves steal his car and leave only one thing: the wounded Ray (Robert Pattinson). After capturing Eric Reynolds, he forced him to find a group of people who had stolen something important to him, his car. Pattinson’s performance uses fascinating gestures and quirks to alleviate the character’s pain, desperate and intense in this dark and consistently painful film.

2
The Twilight Saga

Robert Pattinson 10 Best Performed Movies, Ranked!

Whether you’re a fan of the movie series or not, The Twilight Saga is definitely on the list, as Robert Pattinson is best known for his role as Edward Cullen. With her glowing skin, glowing eyes, and beautiful hairstyle, Edward Cullen fascinated many teenage girls (including a Bella Swan) with his magic. Robert Pattinson beat 3,000 other actors to play Edward Cullen, and that was the role that led Pattinson to stardom. Although the story did not go well with many film critics, the five Twilight films (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, Breaking Dawn Part I and Part II) were all quite successful at the box office. Today, when the name Robert Pattinson comes to mind, many still think of The Twilight Saga first.

1
Good Time

In Good Times, Robert Pattinson plays Constantine “Connie” Nikas, a bank robber who will do everything in his power to free his mentally disabled brother (in the role of a director) from prison. In his quest to free his brother, Connie encounters the dark and dangerous underworld of New York. Pattinson is enjoying incredibly good, manic energy that dominates Safdi Bhai’s (Uncut James) film. He again finds the beating heart in a grumpy character, almost unfamiliar with the physical and character, and leads the film entirely to its tragic, indescribable conclusion. Good Time has Robert Pattinson’s best film performance to date, at least until The Batman comes out.

Donald Trump was famous in the real estate world, but he enjoyed mainstream success as the host of “The Apprentice”. He was elected the 46th President of the United States in 2016.

Before he became the leader of the free world, he was the host and judge of President Trump’s “The Apprentice”, a reality TV show where competitors competed for the opportunity to run his own company.

In addition to his run in “The Apprentice”, Trump has appeared in a number of movies and TV shows, from “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” to “Sex and the City.”

Now that he’s out of the White House, it remains to be seen what Trump will do next – will he run for office? Will he launch his own Fox News-SQ news channel, as widely speculated? Will he create his own social media platform?

Cynthia Nixon ran for governor of New York in 2018 She lost her primary – and now she’s ready to play Miranda Hobbs in “Sex and the City” revival this year.

Nixon’s race for governor was whispered for a while, but the “Sex and the City” actress took to Twitter in March 2018 to run against incumbent Governor Kuomo Official. He lost in the Democratic primary. If he had won, he would have been the first public homosexual to hold the post.

But Nixon is an actress whose political loss could shorten her career (she missed an Oscar to complete her ego).

Since the defeat, he has starred in the 2019 film “Stray Dolls”

“One Flu Over the Cuckoo” prequel “Ratched,” and “SATC” revival “And Just Like That …,” as well as “Downton Abbey” producer Julian Fellows’ new series “The Gilded”.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, aka “The Governor”, had a reputation as “The Terminator” before he became governor of California. In 2015 he returned to the “Terminator” franchise.

Prior to becoming Governor of California, Schwarzenegger was a professional bodybuilder and successful actor who starred in “The Terminator,” “Conan the Barbarian,” and “Kindergarten Cop,” “Total Recall,” “True Lies,” and more.

He served as governor from 2003 to 2011. He was popular most of his time as governor, ending his final term with a record-low approval rating of around 23%.

Schwarzenegger replaces Trump as the new host of “The Celebrity Apprentice”, but he leaves just one season later. He appeared in “The Expendables,” “Terminator Genesis,” and “Terminator: Dark Fate” and returned to his usual action hire. Schwarzenegger has voiced a superhero in the prime video animated series “Superhero Kindergarten”.

Stacey Dash filed papers to run for Congress in California in February 2018, but she has since said she is stepping down from politics.

The “Clueless” actress is a controversial figure – she has exploded to call for an end to Black History Month and BET (Black Entertainment Television). He was a contributor to Fox News until his contract was renewed in 2017.

Dash, representing California’s 44th Congressional District, filed the papers effectively announcing his intention to run in 2018. He later withdrew.

According to the Daily Mail, “he hopes to reshape his acting career and dreams of playing a superhero character in an action movie.”

Dash played Mildred Johnson in the controversial conservative movie “Row vs. Wade”, the first black woman to graduate from Harvard Medical School and a well-known anti-abortion activist.

Clint Eastwood, among many others, is the former mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea, California.

The actor / director was elected mayor of Carmel-by-the-Sea, a small town in California, in 1986, served one term, and was later appointed to the California State Parks and Recreation Commission in 2001.

Eastwood has been politically active since becoming mayor. He is an outspoken supporter of the Republican Party, and is best known for his speech at the 2012 Republican National Convention, where he spoke in an empty chair, referring to him as Barack Obama.

Of course, Eastwood did not give up acting or directing to do politics. The 90-year-old is set to make a film in October 2021, “Cry Macho“, which he also directed.

Of course there is many more to tell, we will definitely comes with more.
